“When I began my first 6 shifts, it wasn’t easy for me. It was half of me quitting and half of me getting
fired. However, from there I learned how to take in feedback and really understand what it means to grow
as a person. It was thanks to mymanagers that I’m able to be here today and loving what I do.”

Q: How did you find out about myBurgerLab?

It started in high school when I was 16. myBurgerLab was still pretty new at the time , and I hadn’t stepped foot into the Seapark Lab. Few years later, I wanted to look for a part time job and I thought “why not?”. My friend told me about the great experience he had at mBL, so I thought I’d give it a shot. One thing truly unique about the myBurgerLab experience, is the briefing and debriefing sessions before and after every shift, where we don’t just talk about our goals, and our personal developments at work, but also make a pledge to each other, promising to have each other’s backs and support each other where possible. This, I feel, has really helped make my fellow Geeks more than just my colleagues, but my friends too.

Q: What is the one thing you treasure the most?

I’ve had this red Aeropostale Jacket with me since I was 9. It reminds me of the days before my parents split up, and it’s just something from that era that I will never forget. This jacket makes me feel secure and protected from many things in life. Whenever I feel a little down and uncomfortable in my own skin, this jacket rights all the wrongs for me. This jacket has been with me through my ups and down. 13 years with this jacket, and many things have changed, I’ve met many new people, and learned many new things. But this jacket has stayed with me, keeping me grounded.

Q: Where do you see yourself 5/10 years down the road?

I could give a cliché answer and tell you I’d like to be successful at work and at life, but if I were to be honest, I don’t have a fixed path in front of me yet. Sure, I’d love to be a little more organized, and have a more concrete plan for myself. But I guess, you’ll only really know, when you know, if you get my meaning. For now, I’ll go where life takes me, and that’s good enough for me.

Adam enjoys all genres of music, and stresses that music has helped him in so many ways even he can’t remember. He also mentions that motorsports piques his interest albeit a pricey pursuit for the time being. However, despite being faced with the temporary absence of motorsports in his life, Adam makes it up with his abundance of research on motorsports. Let’s all hope Adam finally gets to steer his interest back on track!
