You might be looking to bring a special non-conventional YeeSang home to show your friends and family what good taste you have. So I have done the dirty work for you and sourced out some of the most delicious and unique YeeSang offerings in Klang Valley and made it into a tidy little list. From the most affordable to the most HUAT Yee Sang, here are my recommendations for 2024:

- RenYi Notes: When a steakhouse offers Yee Sang, you can expect a Wagyu Yee Sang (with a Salmon alternative, but who needs that?). This Yee Sang combines perfectly torched and seasoned Wagyu slices with dragon fruit, jackfruit, pickled onions, and fresh greens for an almost orgasmic experience. Ideal for carnivores! - RenYi Notes: This is my favorite Yee Sang, albeit the most expensive one. Papasan’s Rainbow Yee Sang features an abundance of seafood, complemented by Chicken BakKwa for a unique twist. Freshness shines through with Pomelo, Pear, Strawberries, and Mandarin Orange, enhancing each ingredient’s flavor and texture. Pro tip: Go easy on the sauces to avoid overpowering the seafood’s subtle flavors. Eat quickly to avoid a soggy mess. Umami Level: 10/10
